Luba Bakičová
Born 1985 in the Slovak Republic Luba Bakičová focuses on uncovering and visualizing the hidden characteristics of glass through experimental techniques. By exposing various types of glass to high temperatures and combining them with heat-resistant concrete, she contrasts the rigidity of basic forms with the fluidity of molten glass. Her minimalist sculptures capture moments that invite the observer to perceive the present and grasp the underlying existential reality.
