Since the foundation of her glass gallery, Eliška Stölting solely exhibited objects of Czech glass artists. However, as this relatively young art is still not very well known to the public, she has extended her concept a few years ago by presenting once a year an exhibition of Czech glass art together with the glass art from another country.
In past exhibitions, works by Swedish, American, Slovakian, and French glass artists were showcased in contrast to those of Czech glass artists. This time, 20 outstanding Czech and German glass artists will jointly present their glass sculptures at Glasgalerie Hittfeld.
From the Czech Republic, the following glass sculptures will be presented:
Ilja Bílek, Richard Čermák, Eliaš Bohumil, Jan Fišar, Ivana Mašitova, Alena Matějka, Prof. S. Libensky/J. Brychtova, Ivo Rozsypal, Jaromir Rybak, Dana Vachtová.
From Germany, the following glass sculptures will be presented:
Stanislaw Borowski, Erwin Eisch, Jens Gussek, Ursula Huth, Florian Lechner, Ursula Merker, Willi Pistor, Christian Schmidt, Theodor Sellner, Jörg Zimmermann.
The gallerist, Eliška Stölting, born in the Czech Republic, has invited internationally recognized glass artists from the Czech and German glass scenes, offering an overall view of contemporary glass art from both countries. “I hope,” stated the gallerist, “to provide the public with an insight into the variety of glass art from each country through these exhibitions.”
