Duration of the exhibition:2 – 29 October 2005 – After 16 years Prof. Vladimir Kopecky (*1931) will end his pedagogical work as head of the glass studio at the Academy for Applied Arts in Prague. In his honour the graduates and students of his studio organized an exhibition with glass objects which were created during his time as head of the glass studio. This exhibition makes obvious the development and the change which took place in the Czech glass scene since the lifting of the Iron Curtain.

Together with some of his students and graduates the fortyseven year old Prof. Vladimir Kopecky will be present at the vernissage. The objects of this famous artists were sold worldwide to many museums and private collections. Prof. Vladimir Kopecky: “For me, glass is not the subject of my expression. It is merely a means for attaining obscure ends…”
