 | | The Artist - Jan Fisar

Their names themselves mostly indicate how the philosophy of their creator reflects what he, like all of us, has to deal with.
Usually relations among people, social and natural phenomena and processes are involved. Briefly - Fisar's objects speak about this world and as it is common with artistic works, much more about the world seen by Mr. Fisar, and perhaps by each of us as well.
Therefore, the creation of Jan Fisar is very autonomous, and it cannot be ranked among any current glass making stream or movement in Bohemia nor in the rest of the world.

It is not more than three years ago when I complained in an essay about this author that his popularity dit not correspond with the significance of his work.
This is not true any longer. Fisar's concentrated and relentless work in seclusion has recently gained a lot of success and appreciation, especially abroad.
